Set up by the regional development agency and local councils, Sea Space is the economic development company for Hastings and Bexhill. They are helping towards the towns fulfilling their potential as highly desirable places to work, live, study and visit. The brief was to create a vibrant, photographic website coded in accordance with the W3C. This means it’s accessible to all, fast-loading and easy to maintain. The site itself is split into two sections - one for companies, the other for members of the community. The Community section includes information on consultations, events and the latest news on the many projects in the Hastings, St. Leonards and Bexhill area. The Business section (with it's dedicated addresses businessinhastings.com and businessinbexhill.com) gives details on support for companies, properties to let, business events and contracts available from Sea Space. The Arts Forum is a community organisation dedicated to promoting and developing Hastings, and the surrounding area, as a major centre for the arts. The website aims to provide artists with news about The Arts Forum, as well as listings for local exhibitions, events and performances. Sea Space was set up as a regeneration company in 2003 by the Hastings & Bexhill Task Force. The Task Force itself was convened in September 2001 in order to develop an effective, partner-led regeneration strategy. This programme, which is underpinned by a combination of public and private sector funding, focuses on five highly linked areas, namely: education, business, urban renaissance, broadband and transport. The website, which is hoped will provide a one stop shop for business people, is planned to be completed in Autumn 2006. The Innovation Centre is a new set of high quality, purpose-built managed business premises on the south coast in East Sussex, which will open in the summer. It is specially designed to help firms with an innovative approach to business grow and thrive. They offer a range of offices, studios and workshops, all fully equipped with the latest in telephony, broadband, meeting rooms, reception and clerical services. These premises are part of the regeneration programme for Hastings. As was the case with our previous clients the site was coded with web standards in mind. It joins together with our other recent projects, eBiz Centre and the Hastings & Bexhill Enterprise Hub, as part of the same network. We wish everyone involved with the Innovation Centre every success. http://www.ingserv.com/news.php Wed, 05 Apr 06 19:50:00 GMT On Tuesday, January 3rd 2006, the new eBiz Centre opened for business in Robertson Street, Hastings, offering free, impartial advice to help local companies make the most from the internet and online trading. Just recently their web site went live, and as was the case with the Hastings & Bexhill Enterprise Hub, it was our job to code the site using web standards. This means it’s accessible to all, fast-loading and easy to maintain. The eBiz Centre follows on from the successful two-year Broadband Centre project which helped almost 600 local companies before it ended in December 2005. As part of Sea Space’s regeneration programme for the area, the eBiz Centre will offer free advice on a wide range of e-commerce and e-marketing issues, to help companies reduce administration costs and find new markets. In addition, the eBiz Centre will carry on running the popular eBiz Clubs and workshops on specific topics. In terms of content the site is still very much at its early stages, with a few pages still to be written up.
