Mental Gamers

Mental Gamers is a site dedicated to PC and Console gaming news. They also provide reviews, previews, polls, downloads, screenshots, a discussion forum and an archive.

Our first job was to create a design that looked busy but inviting to read at the same time. We also created the back-end code so Mental Gamers’s staff could easily update all of their pages on the fly. The control panel allows staff members to use their web browser to update news, submit reviews or add new content etc.

The site also makes an RSS news feed available to all site visitors for both the PC and console news. These feeds can be utilised using a news feed reader or a compatible web browser. Additionally we added a WAP site to cater to their hand-held users, which is basically a cut-down version to allow their visitors to keep up to date on the latest news whilst on the move.

Recently we added a new feature whereby users can submit their own comments in response to certain news posts. This feature is also available on their WAP site as well.
