eBiz Centre

The eBiz Centre, in Robertson Street Hastings, offers free impartial advice to help local companies make the most from the internet and online trading.

With the design already created it was our job to code the site using web standards. This means it’s accessible to all, fast-loading and easy to maintain. The site also makes an RSS news feed available to all site visitors for both the news and events sections. These feeds can be utilised using a news feed reader or a compatible web browser.

Online visitors can sign-up to events or become an eBiz member and receive a free e-business consultation.

The site is also compatible on a PDA and every page is printer friendly.

Behind the scenes we built a custom publishing system that allows any of their staff to update certain sections where necessary. Even at its most advanced levels it’s easy to understand and use. Even though this particular section is not viewable to normal visitors we still took the time to make it accessible.

The eBiz Centre follows on from the successful two-year Broadband Centre project which helped almost 600 local companies before it ended in December 2005. As part of Sea Space’s regeneration programme for the area, the eBiz Centre will offer free advice on a wide range of e-commerce and e-marketing issues, to help companies reduce administration costs and find new markets. In addition, the eBiz Centre will carry on running the popular eBiz Clubs and workshops on specific topics.

At the time of writing there are a few pages still to be written up. This will hopefully be addressed soon as we begin to receive more content from them in the near future.

It joins together with our other recent projects, Innovation Centre and the East Sussex Enterprise Hub, as part of the same network.
